Sheffield shooting leaves teenager, 18, in hospital with gunshot wounds to leg

A TEENAGER is in hospital this morning after he was shot in Sheffield last night.

The 18-year-old was hit in the leg during a violent shooting at 11pm.

Cops today said his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at around 11pm last night to reports that gunshots had been fired on Oxford Street, Sheffield.

"An 18-year-old man has been taken to hospital with a leg wound.

"His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

"Enquiries are ongoing and a cordon has been put in place at the scene."
