Sharleen Spiteri is a 51-year-old Scottish singer and frontwoman of the band Texas.
Raised in Balloch near Glasgow, she has enjoyed a solo career as well as huge success with her band.
Before she became a singer she was a hairdresser who loved a variety of artists including The Clash, Diana Ross and Blondie.
She formed Texas while still cutting hair and they released their first album in 1989.
Their first hit was I Don't Want A Lover but they didn't achieve major success until the late 1990s and early 2000s.
The tracks Say What You Want, Halo and Black Eyed Boy, Summer Son and Inner Smile made Texas a household name.
The band went on hiatus in 2005 and by 2008 Spiteri had kicked off a solo career, releasing tracks like All The Times I Cried.
But a brain aneurysm of Texas guitarist Ally McErlaine in 2010 eventually brought the band back together in 2013.
In 2010 Sharleen was a judge on Sky One show Must Be The Music.
She is worth an estimated £11 million.

Texas released their latest album Jump On Board in May 2017 but they have no plans to tour in the near future.
The album peaked at No6 in the UK charts, although they have had three consecutive number ones with White On Blonde, The Hush and The Greatest Hits.
Their highest singles ranking in the UK is No3 with Say What You Want in 1997.
They've had 13 top 10 hits in total.

Fans of Texas and the comedian Peter Kay were given an extra treat in 2006 when he directed one of their videos.
The promo for the song Sleep featured Kay and Spiteri as lovers, and spoofed Lionel Richie's Hello video as well as the movies Ghost and An Officer And A Gentleman.

Sharleen married celebrity chef Bryn Williams in September 2018.
He proposed to her while she was on Chris Evans' Radio 2 Breakfast Show.
Bryn cooked the fish course for the Queen's 80th birthday on TV show Great British Menu.
They couple have been together for over ten years after meeting at London restaurant Odette's where Bryn was working.
